What is the vibe at the Feather Leaf Inn?
Nestled on the lush island of St. Croix, the historic Feather Leaf Inn is a beautifully restored 18th-century estate with roots dating back to the mid-1700s. While thoughtfully renovated, the property retains its rustic charm and connection to nature. As an eco-conscious hotel, sustainability is at the heart of everything here. Much of the terrain is natural and rocky, offering a truly immersive island experience. Please note that most rooms do not have air conditioning, staying true to the property’s eco-friendly ethos.
What are the rooms like?
We offer four room categories to suit a range of preferences and budgets: Basic, Breezy, Suite, and AC. All rooms include a private bathroom—some bathrooms are located just outside the main sleeping area but remain fully private.
Basic Rooms
Located in the Dragonfly Building lower on the hillside between the main house and cottage. Basic rooms feature two beds and simple décor. These rooms are ideal for budget-conscious travelers and tend to be warmer, as they have ceiling and floor fans and receive less natural breeze.
Breezy Rooms
Situated in the main building up on the hill, Breezy rooms also offer two beds, upgraded furnishings, and the benefit of refreshing cross-breezes.
Suites
Suites are available either within the main building upstairs or in a standalone cottage. These larger rooms may accommodate more than two guests and vary in bed configurations. With enhanced décor and better air flow, Suites offer a more spacious, comfortable experience. Suites can also be upgraded to private accommodations for two guests for an additional fee.
AC Rooms
For those who prefer climate-controlled comfort, we offer two air-conditioned rooms, each with two beds. These are the only rooms on the property equipped with AC.
