Fall Retreat 2026
What if you could step away from the noise and into a slower, richer rhythm?
Join us in the quiet village of Bergamo tucked into the hills of Northern Italy, where time moves gently and presence comes naturally. Together, we’ll savor "la dolce far niente" or "the sweetness of doing nothing."
We’ll wander cobblestone streets, share stories with locals, sip espresso under the morning sun, and create space to truly be—with ourselves and one another.
This isn’t about escaping life. It’s about returning to it—more grounded, more alive, more you.

Arrive at Relais San Vigilio, an enchanting boutique hotel perched atop Citta Alta in Bergamo, offering stunning panoramic views of the city. Once military housing for the San Vigilio castle, a historic garrison dating back to the 6th century, it has been lovingly restored to preserve its original architectural charm while creating an exclusive, refined space. During our stay, you’ll have the opportunity to unwind in the serene gardens, immersing yourself in the peaceful connection to nature.
Step outside the hotel and you’re instantly in the heart of Bergamo, surrounded by its charming streets, rich history, and vibrant local life. -
Day 2 - Sept 29th 2026
Today begins with a guided walking tour that gives you a local’s view of Bergamo—its medieval charm, hidden corners, and the stories that bring this town to life. You’ll stroll past elegant palaces, cozy cafés, and iconic landmarks. We’ll wander up to the Rocca di Bergamo for sweeping views before slowly meandering through the picturesque streets of Città Alta.
After the tour, the rest of the day is yours to explore freely and at your own pace. Linger in a café, meet locals, browse boutiques, walk the walls, or simply sit and soak in the beauty around you. This is the heart of la dolce far niente—the sweetness of doing nothing—and Bergamo is the perfect place to practice it.
As evening arrives, we’ll gather again for dinner to reconnect and share stories from the day’s adventures.
-

There’s no rush, no schedule to chase. Just time to taste, enjoy, and take in the surroundings. Whether you’re discovering a new favorite cheese, savoring a glass of wine, or simply sitting quietly in good company, this day is all about slowing down and letting Bergamo reveal its flavors, its stories, and its sweetness in its own time.
